Amazon Web Services (AWS) has partnered with the "China-Asia University Alliance"—a system of universities comprising China Medical University and Asia University (Taiwan)—to establish the Cloud Innovation Academy for the "Smart Healthcare and Big Health Industry" today (28th). Wang Ding-kai, General Manager of AWS Hong Kong and Taiwan, stated that this is the first cloud academy in Taiwan dedicated to cultivating talent for the smart healthcare industry. By training 2,000 students annually, the academy will provide a steady stream of smart healthcare professionals for Taiwan and the global market. He expressed hope to link the alliance's derivative enterprises with industry-academia collaboration to seize massive business opportunities in the medical industry and benefit the world!
Tsai Chang-hai, Chairman of the "China-Asia University Alliance," noted that the alliance operates nearly 20 medical institutions, with derivative enterprises spanning fields such as medical AI, genetic analysis, cell therapy, pharmaceuticals, and caregiving. Meanwhile, AWS already serves thousands of healthcare and life sciences corporate clients globally, including Pfizer, Moderna, and Bayer, who use AWS for innovation to provide specialized health services and solutions, backed by trusted health networks, technology, and experts. In Taiwan, Changjia Intelligence, under the China-Asia University Alliance, has also used AWS for AI application development and data processing, leveraging AWS's global infrastructure to export its achievements overseas.

Asia University President Jeffrey J.P. Tsai pointed out that Asia University has already trained 50 seed teachers with AWS. In the future, 2,000 students from the "China-Asia University Alliance" will be trained annually to learn medical health service software and information developed via AWS cloud technology at the "Cloud Innovation Academy," as well as related applications such as telemedicine for mobile health and personalized medicine for precision health. This is a significant breakthrough in cultivating talent for human health services and a major mission of the "China-Asia University Alliance"!
Hung Ming-chi, President of China Medical University, stated that the "China-Asia University Alliance" Cloud Innovation Academy combines the strengths of China Medical University, Asia University, and the deep accumulation of AWS in the medical industry. By utilizing the expertise of the two universities in medicine, informatics, electrical engineering, and design, they will jointly train future talent. Upon completing the "Cloud Innovation Academy" courses and obtaining AWS international cloud certifications, students will be equipped to serve the global medical industry, enhancing their employability in the international medical workplace.
Wang Ding-kai, General Manager of AWS Hong Kong and Taiwan, mentioned that obtaining an AWS international cloud certification can increase salaries by at least 27%, with annual salaries in the United States reaching up to 130,000 USD.
General Manager Wang pointed out that AWS has always been committed to strengthening the capabilities of Taiwan's cross-disciplinary cloud talent through three major advantages: over 500 global education and training courses, a diversified cloud talent cultivation system covering secondary education, higher education, and industry professionals, and close cooperation with cloud ecosystem partners such as schools and government agencies across Taiwan. He expressed great pleasure in providing momentum to the "China-Asia University Alliance" to further deepen talent development in Taiwan and continue leading the development of Taiwan's cloud industry.
