Conference Background and Objectives

In an informatized society, cultivating citizens with information knowledge and application capabilities has become a focal point of educational development worldwide. Various countries are promoting relevant information education initiatives to lay the foundation for their national development in the 21st century. Information education aims to promote the application of computers in education and integrate information technology into all stages of the educational curriculum. This ensures that students develop correct information learning attitudes, including creative thinking, problem-solving, active learning, collaborative communication, and the ability to effectively utilize information technology. Furthermore, it seeks to cultivate high-level information technology R&D talent possessing both theoretical and practical expertise, thereby enhancing national information literacy and future competitiveness in high technology.

 Conference Highlights

This conference attracted scholars, researchers, and educators from across the country to jointly explore the latest trends and challenges in information education. During the conference, participants presented numerous research findings covering multiple fields, including digital learning, artificial intelligence applications, and educational technology innovation.

Among them, Professor Chih-Jen Tsai from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Asia University participated as the Principal Investigator of an NSTC project and presented the latest achievements of his research team. Professor Tsai's research project, "Application of AI to Construct an Automatic Detection Model for Game Addiction and an Effectiveness Evaluation Model for Self-Control Learning," garnered widespread attention. The project aims to utilize artificial intelligence technology to automatically detect game addiction behavior by analyzing the physiological data (such as electrocardiogram ECG) of game addicts and to evaluate the effectiveness of self-control learning.

 Presentation of Research Results

Professor Tsai's research team demonstrated their results, including an ECG data collection system developed using Arduino and a game addiction detection model based on deep learning. The research results indicate that the model possesses high accuracy and stability in detecting game addiction behavior and can effectively evaluate the effectiveness of self-control learning.

Additionally, Professor Chiung-Hui Chiu from National Taiwan Normal University presented her research project, "Using Automatic Text Summarization to Assist High School Students' Autonomous Reading Comprehension to Enhance Their Emerging Technology Literacy." This project aims to utilize automatic text summarization technology to help high school students improve their reading comprehension and cultivate their literacy in emerging technologies. The results show that automatic text summarization technology can effectively enhance students' reading comprehension and promote their interest in and understanding of emerging technologies.

 Conference Summary

This conference not only showcased several cutting-edge research results in information education but also provided a platform for exchange and collaboration among participants. Through this event, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on the latest trends and challenges in information education and shared their respective research experiences and findings.
