Section Chief Chih-Jen Tsai of our center participated in the AI-Enabled Technology Patent Matching Event held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Future Research Space, 3F, Teaching and Research Building, National Central University (No. 300, Chung Ta Road, Zhongli District, Taoyuan City). The primary objective of this event was to emphasize how the development of artificial intelligence is transforming business operations and manpower demand patterns, as well as its profound impact on industrial development and competitiveness.
As AI and computing technologies continue to mature, the generative AI wave is sweeping the globe, and the development of various AI applications has become a major trend in market competition. This event brought together talents from the Taoyuan-Taichung Scientific Research Industrialization Platform, who possess extensive achievements and experience in the research and development of innovative AI technologies.
During the event, Section Chief Chih-Jen Tsai and 11 other experts and scholars shared their research findings in fields such fields as ChatGPT application trends, industrial AI applications, AI models for smart manufacturing and the Energy Internet of Things (IoT), AI voice processing and labeling, and AI and apps for medical applications. Additionally, the event featured displays of patented technical achievements and one-on-one matching sessions. Section Chief Chih-Jen Tsai demonstrated the applications of gait analyzers, grip strength meters, and smart wristbands in the field of medical healthcare, engaging in in-depth exchanges and discussions with two industry leaders. The startup Songhui Information expressed interest in collaborating with our center to utilize sensors in smart wristbands and smartphones to quantify estimates of users' smart carbon reduction activities. Another company, Xinjian Technology, hoped to leverage our center's introduction to seek collaboration opportunities with physicians at Asia University Hospital to promote its ECG sensor wearable devices in the field of precision health applications.
